The Order Process
Please Read Before Placing Your Order
At Thread Devil, we have a multi-step process for placing orders to better ensure that your end product is the best quality possible. Before we can begin embroidering your image onto a shirt, hat, or other item we first have to recreate the image into a file format that can be used by the embroidery machine. This process—called “digitizing—takes a little bit of time, and can only be done using special software. A small, one-time fee will be charged for this service and must be paid before we can finalize your estimate or begin the embroidery process.
After the image has been properly formatted, we will retain a copy of the file which can be used on repeat orders, and on other future projects depending on the size of the image and the item to be embroidered.
Here's Where To Get Started
To place your order with Thread Devil, simply fill out the form below. Be sure to upload the image that you would like embroidered and include any other details that will help give us a good understanding of the scope of the project. While our machine cannot use a regular image file type like .jpeg, .png, or .pdf, our digitizing specialist can recreate the image in the proper format from a common file type.
After we receive your order form, one of our embroidery specialists will call you to verify the details of the order and ask any additional, clarifying questions that we have. During that phone call we can also answer any questions that you may have about pricing, shipping, and so on. After the call, an order summary that outlines the scope of the project will be sent to the client along with an invoice for the digitizing fee.
Once the digitizing fee has been paid, the image will be recreated in the proper format and we will run a test to make sure the image is recreated properly by the machine. Pictures of the test will be sent for approval to the client. Once approval is granted, the invoice will be finalized and sent.
Now that the image has been properly formatted, tested, and approved, and the order has been paid for, we can begin the embroidery process. We will keep you updated on the progress of your order.
Now that the image has been properly formatted, tested, and approved, and the order has been paid for, we can begin the embroidery process. We will keep you updated on the progress of your order, and alert you when it is finished.
To get your order to you, we offer free shipping within the city of St George, and free pickup as well. For orders needing to be shipped outside of St George, shipping will be calculated proportionately for the order and will be included within the quote.
Frequently Asked Questions
We have to reformat the file to make it usable by our machines.
A major portion of the cost of the project is based on thread count, so we can’t accurately estimate the cost of the project until after the image has been digitized.
Yes, as long as we can reuse the same image again, there is no need to re-digitize the image. However, if you need a larger or smaller version of the image, or are wanting it on a different type of apparel (i.e., a hat instead of a t-shirt), we may need to reformat the image again to make sure it matches the new dimension requirements and gives an accurate thread count.
If you already have a file that has been properly formatted then we invite you to send it to us so that we can test it. We will need to charge a small fee to cover the testing materials, but as long as it works correctly we won’t need to re-digitize it. However, if the file has to be adjusted to achieve the desired result we will need to charge accordingly for the time spent on those adjustments.
